Terms
What you are buying, what it is not, and who carries which responsibility. There are two kinds of user — private buyer and business — and every section is labelled with who it binds.
Privacy policy →Who these terms are between
Pssst (pssst.fyi) is operated by Aurolabs AB · 559523-4989 · VAT SE559523498901 · c/o DeFlavion International AB, Skogsängsvägen 54D, 135 35 Tyresö · hej@pssst.fyi.
These terms are between you and us when you use the service. There are two kinds of user, and which one you are decides which rules apply: as a private person you buy a check as a consumer, and as a company you buy a self-audit in the course of your business. Every section below is labelled with who it binds.
We are not a party to any car sale. We sell no cars, broker no cars, take no payment for a car, and represent neither buyer nor seller in the deal between you.
What a check is
A pre-purchase check: a verdict (buy, negotiate or walk), the traps known for that exact model and year, a price position against the market, and a checklist of questions to put to the seller.
It is built from public sources — the listing text you pasted, forum threads, recalls, road tests and price data. We search for them while the check runs and list them in the result, so you can open every source yourself and judge whether we read it correctly.
What a check is not
We never see the car. Nobody at Pssst opens a bonnet, takes a test drive or reads a fault code. Everything we know about your specific car comes from the advert and from what others have written about the model.
It is not a roadworthiness test, not a valuation with legal standing, not a warranty, and not an assurance that any particular car is sound. It does not replace a statutory inspection or a check at a workshop.
We do not tell you to buy or to walk. We show what we found. The decision, and what follows from it, is yours.
We never describe a car as checked or attested by us, because it has not been. A seller's published page is a self-audit: the seller's own answers to our questions.
AI: what the system is, and where it gets things wrong
The check is written by an AI system. The model is OpenAI's gpt-5-mini, which searches the open web while the check runs and assembles what it finds. If you chat with the mechanic in the product, you are chatting with the same kind of system, not with a person. That is stated on every page where the system speaks.
The purpose is narrow: to gather what is known about a model and a model year and make it readable before you meet the seller. The system makes no decision about you, gives you no score, and is not used to assess creditworthiness, insurance, employment or anything else about you as a person.
The limits are real. The model can miss things. It can confuse model years and engine variants. A source can be out of date, or have been wrong when it was written. And it knows nothing about your specific car beyond what the advert says. That is why we cite the sources instead of asking you to trust us.
Everything the system writes is marked as AI-generated, both in words and machine-readably (the IPTC code trainedAlgorithmicMedia), on every public page that shows its output: the buyer's report, the open page and the seller's page.
This section is our disclosure under Article 50 of the EU AI Act (2024/1689), which applies from 2 August 2026.
Price and payment — private buyer
Your first check is free. After that a fresh check costs 49 kr including VAT. The price you see at checkout is what you pay; nothing is added.
A car that has already been checked opens again without payment. It costs us nothing to serve a result a second time, so we do not charge for it.
A single check does not renew by itself, and for a one-off purchase we keep no card on file for later. If you choose a subscription, the next section applies instead. Payment runs through Stripe and the card number never reaches us.
If a check is never delivered, or our quality gate stops it, we refund it without you having to ask.
Subscriptions — Pass and Dealer
Alongside paying per car there are two monthly subscriptions, both including VAT. Pass costs 299 kr per month and gives 10 checks a month; it is built for a private person hunting a car. Dealer costs 990 kr per month and gives 60 checks a month; it is sold to businesses only.
A subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You cancel yourself in the product, under Manage or cancel my plan, and it then runs to the end of the period. No lock-in and no notice period.
Checks included in one month do not carry over to the next — they reset when a new period starts. Checkout says so before you choose.
We may change the price. A price change is announced by email at least 30 days before it takes effect and applies from the next period. Cancel before then and you never pay the new price.
As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on the subscription too. If you took checks during those days, the waiver below applies to those checks, and we refund the rest of the period pro rata. Dealer is sold B2B and carries no right of withdrawal.
Right of withdrawal, and why you actively give it up
As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance contracts under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (2005:59).
A check is a digital service delivered immediately. For us to start before the withdrawal period expires, you must expressly ask us to and at the same time confirm that you understand the right ends once the service is complete. That is the second tick box at checkout. It is never pre-ticked, and without it no paid check starts.
We store which version of the wording you agreed to, when you did it, and that this specific box was ticked. The version in force is 2026-07-29.1.
If you change your mind before the check is delivered: email us and we will stop it and refund you. We do not charge for a service you withdrew from before it was finished, whatever the tick box says.
If the check is wrong
A check can be wrong in two ways: it is never delivered, or it is plainly incorrect — wrong car, wrong model, unusable result.
If it is not delivered, or the quality gate stops it, we refund automatically. If it is plainly incorrect: email us and we will re-run it free of charge or refund you, whichever you prefer.
As a consumer you also have the remedies the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (2022:260) gives for a defective digital service: repair, a price reduction or termination. Those rights take precedence over this section wherever they give you more.
A check that did not find a fault the car turned out to have is not itself a defective check. We never saw the car, and we say so before you pay.
Terms for sellers
The seller side is sold to businesses only. When you register you give your company name and registration number and confirm the purchase is made in the course of your business.
All prices below INCLUDE 25% Swedish VAT, for consumers and businesses alike. The figure shown on the page is the figure charged; nothing is added at checkout. Your receipt states the VAT contained in it, which a business deducts in the normal way. We do not apply reverse charge: the same product costs the same to everyone, and a business outside Sweden reclaims through its own return.
No right of withdrawal. The 14 days in the Distance Contracts Act are for consumers. A purchase made in your business is not covered, and checkout says so before you pay.
Placement is charged only when your car is actually shown to a buyer checking the same make, model, year and region. If it never matches, you never pay. While supply in a region is too thin to sell shelf space in, placement is shown at no cost, and checkout says so.
An extension runs from the day the page would have expired, not from the day you renew — renewing early therefore costs you nothing extra.
Pack credits are tied to your account. They cannot be transferred and are not redeemable for cash. If we stop providing the service we refund unused credits.
A launch discount applies to a limited number of sellers and for a fixed time. The number and the last valid date are stated where the code is offered, and the code is tied to the seller link that received it.

What “self-audited” means — and does not mean
A self-audit is you running our ordinary check on your own car and answering the questions it raised yourself. The page shows the questions, your answers and your photos.
We have not seen the car. We do not check your answers against reality and we attest nothing about the vehicle. The page says what you stated — not what is true. That sits at the top of the page, before anyone has scrolled.
So you may not claim that Pssst has checked, inspected or attested the car when you point to the page, in the advert or in conversation. An untrue answer is your responsibility: the Swedish Marketing Act (2008:486) applies to you as a business, and a self-audit containing false statements is misleading marketing by you.
The 0–100 score measures how well documented the car is: how many questions you answered and how concretely. It does not measure the car's condition and it does not measure you.
The page lives for 30 days and is then taken down. We would rather a claim disappeared than let it stand once it may have stopped being true.
Advertising, placement and partners
We may show offers from partners, for example insurance or finance, and paid placement of a seller's car. All of it is labelled as advertising.
Paid placement does not affect what the check concludes. The verdict, the traps and the price position are written before we know whether there is an advert to show, and an advertiser cannot buy a softer assessment.
We give no advice on individual insurance policies, loans or other financial products, and we are not an insurance intermediary.
How you may use the service
A check is for your own purchase or your own sale. You may share it with the seller, a friend or a workshop.
You may not resell results, scrape the service, assemble a competing database from our checks, circumvent quotas or payment, upload images you have no right to, or submit information about another person without the right to do so.
We may suspend an account that does any of this. If you have paid for credits you had not used, we refund them — unless the suspension is for fraud.
The content of a check belongs to us. You may use and pass that check around freely for your own purchase or your own sale; you may not sub-license it.
Availability and changes
The service can be down for maintenance, or because of a fault at our end or at a supplier we depend on. We promise no particular uptime.
We may change these terms. Material changes are announced here and, if you have an account, by email at least 30 days before they take effect. A change never applies retroactively to a check you have already paid for.
We may stop offering a feature. If you paid for something that disappears before you used it, you get your money back.
Liability
The purchase decision is yours. We are not liable for what a car turns out to be, for what a seller claimed, or for what you decide after reading a check.
Our liability for a single check is limited to what you paid for that check. For a business on a pack: to what has been paid to us over the last twelve months.
We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or lost business opportunities.
Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence, liability for personal injury, or liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law. If you are a consumer, the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (2022:260) prevails over these terms wherever it gives you more.
Governing law and disputes
Swedish law applies.
If you are a consumer: come to us first. If we cannot agree, you can refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se. We follow ARN's recommendations. You can always bring a court action where you live.
If you are a business: disputes are settled by the Swedish general courts, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.
